Microsoft is One of the Top Tech Company that has invented various well-known software. Now it has coming up with an idea to bring Xbox to live cross-platform Gaming to android, ios, Nintendo switch and many more. At GDC 2019(Gaming Developer Conference ), Microsoft has announced this idea to bring the Xbox Live support to games on Android, ios, Nintendo Switch in additional to PC and Xbox Consoles.
Xbox Live is one of the largest, most engaged gaming communities till now. Now Xbox Live is about to get MUCH bigger. Xbox Live is expanding from 400M gaming devices and a reach to over 68M active players to over 2B devices with the release of our new cross-platform XDK.
Microsoft already has Few games with Xbox Live Support on mobile devices mostly like Minecraft, which requires an Xbox Live login on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch. First Xbox Live used to support only those platforms for Microsoft's Game, but now Microsoft is focusing to bring Xbox Live cross-platform to play many more games.
The information comes from the GDC 2019 scheduling website, describing Microsoft's future plans for Xbox Live. Microsoft also plans to leverage its powerful PlayFab suite of backend tools as part of this package, aiming to streamline the process for developers building live games across multiple platforms.
There has been a great trend on the games like Pubg, Minecraft, Fortnite which works on Mobile, PC as well as Console too. Microsoft has seen an opportunities to come forward like these trends.
